Inkscape is an open-source vector graphics editor similar to Adobe Cartoonist, Corel Represent, Freehand, or Xara X. What sets Inkscape apart is its employ of Amplifiable Vector Symbols (SVG), an open XML-based W3C standard, as none native format.

In misalignment to raster (bitmap) graphics editors such as Photoshop in substitution for Unbalanced, Inkscape stores its graphics in a course of action format.
